I’m not entirely sure Trump would have won the nomination if it was looking early like Clinton wasn’t going to be the Democratic nominee. To a certain extent, Trump is the end result of Clinton Derangement Syndrome.

I dunno. I still think he wins the nomination. There was no clear “next in line” since Ryan didn’t run.
