You are overlooking those who are not evangelicals or even Protestant but who are white supremacists. True FB post from a friend who is an ardent Trumpster:

In the 1930’s the Communist leader Josef Stalin ” purged” his military of what he deemed those who did not support communist policies. Those who opposed Stalin were called ” counterrevolutionaries” and were jailed.
In 2021 the leaders at the Pentagon, on orders from the White House is “purging” our armed services of soldiers who are not in agreement with the Left’s progressive agenda. These folks are labeled ” white Supremacists”. They just haven’t been jailed… yet.
Anyone see the similarities?
