I can feel it here too. DW is talking to her mother in central Japan and the typhoon will only cause strong winds there. The atmospheric pressure here is due to the fact that one of DW’s siblings is a conspiracy theorist who refuses to get vaccinated and she is screaming at her to not allow one of her brothers to visit until he gets vaxed. She also has cousins who do acupuncture and have taken no measures to make their workplace safe; they too don’t vax.

Anyway, sorry to hijack this report (though it’s funny to hear DW in full local dialect mode).

The Weather Network here in Canada noted today that they follow western Pacific typhoons, because eventually they become major weather systems in Canada. Powerful typhoons, even after they’ve lost their wind punch, still carry incredible amounts of water. As such, right now there is a former typhoon stretching from northern Ontario and Michigan’s UP across Ontario and Québec, and another that is exiting now from Newfoundland (the sun was out here today).
