Mix tapes? Not really a factor in my music listening. In the abstract, personal use only or get the rights. Pay the money.

So you haven’t listened to mix tapes, or watched VHS copies, or watched music videos on youtube that weren’t on the musicians VIMEO or otherwise monetized channel?

I see people post music videos here all the time from youtube that are from channels that in no way get revenue back to the artists.

I think it’s very good to want musicians and other creative types to get paid for their work. I want that too. But righteous indignation isn’t going to make that happen. The way to approach things should be with that goal in mind: get people paid for the work that they do, if they want to be paid for it.
