I wonder how many of the kids who walked out will potentially be future wingnut bloggers? You don’t have to have much in the way of journalism skills to do that.

Mark me down as one Christian who flat out REFUSES to hate, degrade, demean or mistreat gay people in the name of my religion.

That’s not what Jesus said and that’s not how he acted. I treat every person with respect REGARDLESS of who they are. Gay, Muslim, Jewish, Japanese, White, Black, Mexican. IT DOESN’T MATTER. Everyone deserves basic respect and human dignity.

Oh and to answer the question as to why some Christians are more than willing to accept Biblical law but NOT something like Sharia Law despite the apparent similarities…

…Many Christians feel their religion and their God is the one true religion and the one true God. Hence, it makes sense to follow what the one true God tells you to do and NOT follow any teachings of false religions or false Gods.

The Bible in fact specifically warns Christians to not follow false teachings or false prophets.

Therefore it’s considered ok to say, take away women’s rights so long as those actions are in line with the Bible instead of the Koran.
