Yeah, yeah, matter absorbs all the lightwaves in the visible spectrum that it is. Grass isn’t really green—I can understand that. But does it reflect, or refract the colors it isn’t?

How does one determine if it is polarized?

Grass is green, definitely, but a Wookie calls it something else, even though the reflected wavelength is the same, and a synthesist might call it B flat.
