Tulsa was the real big one. There was Chicago in 1919 I think, and Rosewood in 1923. Neither event had massive body count (in the low dozens) , although both (especially Rosewood) had significant property damage. Racial motivated deaths over the last 150 years tended to be masses of relatively small numbers that added up and up and up….
There was also Colfax in 1873, where over every single African-American man, woman, and child - estimated at close to 200 people - was systematically murdered because one person dared fight back against racial violence.
There was a memorial put up to signify this event, that stands to this very day.
It honors the murderers.
