This country was messed up before the 2016 election. The McConnell treatment of Garland; the GOP treatment of Obama during his entire stay in office; the million efforts to repeal Obamacare. Reagan did a lot of damage as did W. It is the GOP who created this monster of a tax bill, not Trump. It is the GOP that wants to destroy all benefit programs that help the poor, not Trump.

Let’s see what happens with Mueller and the 2018/2020 elections before we write this country off.

I’m sure you can see the changes I am talking about since Trump entered the picture. His election made those changes more glaring. There has been a coarsening of the citizens, racism is easily displayed, political discussion more toxic than ever and more outright lying than ever.

We’ve always had splits. Now we have deep divides.

When is the last time you have heard so much talk about secession, civil warring , leaving the country and the like?

Just an opinion that certain things have changed.
