I think he got openly mocked there, not cool.

Tebow has brought his faith forth as part of his persona. It’s who he is. So we can have fun at his expense. This does not give license to ridicule him. So I hope we can have a little fun with it, but not put the guy down because he likes to take a knee.

I think there is a difference.

I would suggest to you that the Taliban also bring to the table their wacky beliefs as part of their persona.

Now, the mocking of Tebow’s faith in that way is certainly nowhere near in the same league as the “Victory Tinkle”, as Geller put it. But it’s lack of respect for another human being, all the same.

As I said, Tebow is over the top for my taste. That’s an opinion, not mockery. I don’t mock atheists. I don’t mock Buddhists. I try not to mock anybody, and I don’t claim to always be successful in that, but I try; it’s simply my opinion that it’s wrong to demean people in that way. Disagree with ‘em? Another thing entirely.
