I will still never understand the impulse to run over protesters because you were inconvenienced on your commute. Like…’I’m going to be late for dinner, I’m going to murder these fuckers now because they ruined my night’. How do you fucking justify that (outside of dehumanizing the protesters so it’s no longer ‘murder’ in your mind, obviously).

It’s the same impulse that leads to road rage incidents - something about driving a car/truck makes some people feel like being cut off by other cars, or slowed down by cyclists, or stopped by a protest, is an egregious personal attack that merits lethal force.
