The Republicans have had years to come up with an alternative to the ACA but apparently never bothered to do any actual work toward that end. So we get a couple of quickly thrown together bills that basically amount to tax cuts for the rich (the only type of bill they seem capable of creating, for any purpose and not just healthcare). Are we surprised? No.

Having more and more trouble dealing with the political situation in this country. On one hand, I believe that it’s my duty as a citizen to stay informed about issues and what’s happening with the country. On the other hand, being informed keeps me depressed and cranky as I watch the country being torn apart and our institutions destroyed.

So, I look for good and beauty where I can. With that in mind, here are a couple of photos of some of the new arrivals in Mrs Cranky’s garden.
