IT vs US vs Germany VS France graphs are below. Cases numbers are slowing. Death rates are not so much as those in the system, or newer severe cases from home are getting worse. US is at 2% fatality of confirmed cases and rising slowly.

Moving doubling to 4 days (currently ~3.5) leads to 6.5k deaths on Friday. At a 5 day doubling rate 31k deaths are expected by April 15th (22k at 6 day). The projections of 100k, 200k, 300k before this first wave has reasonably ended - assuming we can keep our shit together - are not unreasonable.
