As a disabled person, I’ve long been the target of lectures regarding my supposed lack of drive, productivity and “personal responsibility”. I’m sad to report that this is spreading to the rest of us. This is making the rounds.

Side hustle? That phrase is normally used by hunbots (multi-level marketing people, almost always women, trying to recruit new “distributors”).

Same here with my supposed lack of drive. It doesn’t matter what I learned in avionics I can’t use (it’s illegal for me), my licenses are useless for maritime electronics (no one in maritime businesses will hire someone with epilepsy), &c.

I got the same sort of comments when I was homeless. Lazy, &c.

Pro-tip for either disabled people or homeless people. You don’t have to like them. You don’t even have to support them. But you don’t have to offer up your opinion on why they are “failing” or how they are an “inspiration” (I hate that one too).
