I’m not sure how much impact petitions have anyhow. Especially online ones. I suppose the politicians may see them and use them as a barometer sometimes. But as the actions in TX and now NC tell us, the will of the people doesn’t mean shit to a pretty significant number of elected officials. I think what we are finding out is that we have to watch the motherfuckers closely, all the damned time or lots of bad shit gets slipped under the radar, stuff we may not see the impact of right away. We can’t relax.
