In a way as much as Ike was a good President, I wish she had succeeded since the GOP would have been doomed towards irrelevancy if Ike hadn’t saved their asses in 52. Should have just let them die then but granted the GOP still had a lot of decent people back then but still this was still the height of McCarthy.
