I’ve also been pleased with the product. I was afraid it would bomb like Marvel’s Agent Carter, which started off strong then fell victim to shitty writing, or the horrible Supergirl movie. Instead, they’ve deftly managed to make the show as much about superhero adventures as growing as a powerful females and figuring out how to fit into society. Plus, they’ve managed to hit on some social issues, like immigration, xenophobia, prejudice, and same-sex relationships, without spoiling the fun aspects of the show’s premise.

Plus, Melissa Benoist is apparently as sweet in person as she is on the show.

I thought they got a little heavy handed on the immigration episode, but largely it has been quite good.
