re: #215 Anymouse š¹
The outrage was amongst conservatives, and the media duly did their stenographic duty. They wanted Al Frankenās scalp, and they were going to get it one way or another.
Iām pretty sure as a comedian they could have dug up any number of things on Franken.
In my opinion, Franken resigning (despite being a powerful voice for the left) was the proper thing to do. He took that controversy off the table for the GOP to use in the elections (Franken was considering more than his own political future).
Did, you just take back youāre own argument? Isnāt Sam apologizing the same thing?
And if anyone thinks a defense against āfecklessā wouldnāt be easier and shows it was nothing than wingnut butthurt as opposed defending the āCā word, you are fooling yourself.
You donāt think Sam is going to be used as an example come election time and when needed?
Later! I got stuff to do. Not much more to say about this anyway. We can debate ideal or real. I tend to go off in the direction of real and hope that we can get to ideal.
