Trying to catch up here and I see that the protesters at Zuccotti Park are toughing it out. It’s absolutely miserable to be out in the kind of weather we had yesterday, and it’s going to be cold overnight over the next few days.

Also saw a story that the NLG was going to sue the FDNY over their confiscation of generators at the park - the FDNY claimed that they were a fire code violation; the NLG claims that the confiscations were a violation of first amendment rights of the protesters.

Sorry, but the confiscations was not a first amendment violation; the protesters can still protest - just without the generators. And if the conditions are tough on them that they need generators to stay out there?

Besides, millions of folks around the region are without power and clamoring for generators to keep their homes warm to power fridges to keep food from spoiling, and having heat and power. Let’s just say I’m not particularly sympathetic.
