Yes, it’s not really about one guy in his mother’s basement pirating [sic] one game or one song. Whatever they do with what they pirate steal is a subjective question. They may or may not “use” the item. But if I shoplift a DVD from Walmart am I supposed to then tell the security guard, “I really wasn’t going to use it” that it would change anything? So let’s go back to that “one guy” grabbing something for free. There are 7 billion people on the Earth and that’s growing exponentially. Right now we’re looking at “one guy” multiplied by several million. That’s significant.

Frankly, I think it’s funny because with anonymous we’re looking at a huge consumerist demographic that runs to the Apple store every time a new iPad or iPhone is released.
