Any kind of allegedly real supreme being that lets children be tortured and suffer like this while doing nothing is, at best, callously indifferent. I’m not going to go into at worst because I’m trying to rein it in here, and I’m honestly not trying to nasty to you.

God is smarter and stronger than we are; he’s also established rules that he himself adheres to. That’s the whole point of free will. He gave us brains of our own, some starting advice, and sat back to watch what we do with it.

That’s why when the pulpit pimp Elmer Gantrys say you can’t defy God, or argue with his laws… Jews say “oh yes you can!” There at least 4 places in the scripture where people have felt his pronouncements were unfair, unjust and immoral, and we got right up in his face to say “God, you’re wrong! This is an improper order, and improper decision, and here’s why.” In all four instances God thought about it for a couple of minutes, said “hmmm, you’ve got a point there” and changed his decisions.
