If Trump vetoes the spending bill he owns the shutdown. If the GOP doesn’t help Dems override his veto then Congressional Republican will also own the shutdown. You’ll be sitting there arguing why you need to enable Trump’s hostage taking. Basically you’re screwed no matter what.
