It wasn’t the party establishment that nominated him, it was the voters in the Republican primaries. The fault lies with the American public — not the elites who run the political parties. Yes — Mitch violated his oath of office when he refused to sign on with Obama on Russian interference. But I suspect, given “her emails” and Comey’s arrogance, that would have had little effect on the outcome of the election. Trump supporters never cared about Putin.
