It has to exist before it can play at all. Republicans are acting like a beaten dog. When the liberals lost big to Bush in 2002 and 2004 they reorganized and came back stronger, just as the Republican self-discipline waned. Now they are sitting strong and their mistakes (which are many and obvious) are being unexploited because there is no conservative voice to attack with force.

Glen Beck is trying to be that voice. Look at that video again and decide if that is the future of the Conservative movement.

Can’t see the video, blocked at work. These tea parties sound like a possibly good idea turning into a cluster-f**k. The extremist noise is certainly ratcheting up to a level that is going to keep the more moderate elements away, adding to the extremist noise level. All of which will be used to cast the Republicans as the raging kooks that we know the extreme left to be.

The GOP however, is in disarray now, with no indication that it will recover anytime soon. The party has produced no strong or focused leaders due to internal divisions that are the results of power struggles among many factions, all of which claim that “the party has no chance without us.”

I wonder if these tea parties will prove embarrassing enough to get the party on track to recovery?
