Maybe I’m being cynical, but while I think that Beck is being gut-wrenchingly genuine when he says shit like this, I believe his producer, [most of] his crew, and his bosses at Fox News tolerate his brain droppings because he still makes them money, even without the big-money, first-rate advertisers.

Take it from someone who got a degree in broadcasting (though I’m not currently in the industry)…Beck would not continue to be on the air anywhere, radio or TV, unless his shows was making his bosses enough money to look the other way and tolerate him.

Beck’s bosses at Fox News and Premiere are only concerned with how many ears and eyes he brings…and they’re riding the Beck crazy trains until it derails. If something really bad happens that can be directly tied to Beck and makes him radioactive, they’ll drop him like a hot potato (see what happened to Don Imus, on a smaller scale).

But by then it will be too late.
