By all accounts, Manson himself has no burning desire to leave prison. He seems to be more or less content behind bars.

Why leave? He has clothes to wear, food, and a bed to sleep on. Plus I’m sure he still gets fan letters and people that want to visit him to say they did. It’s not in his interest to leave prison.
