As I (and many others) have said, it will take many deaths — literally — and heaps of misery to crack through the alt.right force field. I’m thinking 1929 at least. (I don’t think FDR faces such entrenched delusions.) Or 1982 Argentina.

People will die.

Many will die for lack of medical treatment that they can no longer afford.

Others will die at the hands of extremist bigots and xenophobes who feel emboldened by the President’s rhetoric and policies, whose crimes will be ignored or even abetted by LEOs of the same ilk.

And if we back DT too far into a corner, he is likely to start some unnecessary war and get people killed just to distract from his misdeeds.
