I wonder if the government needs to let people know there are certain countries that are our enemy. You can go there if you want, but at your own risk.

Make it clear you will not be rescued by the government as the government will not negotiate your release with an enemy.

That’s a really bad policy and runs counter to a few hundred years of practice among nations.
