re: #230 Anymouse 🌹

I had no friends in high school. (Literally, no friends.) In my senior year (where I was at a new school), in a maths class I caught on to others copying from quiz papers.

After I caught that out, I went through my next quiz and intentionally marked all wrong answers on the quiz. I hung back to the end of class and changed all my answers in the last few minutes after most had turned in their tests.

I was really hated when most of the class flunked the quiz and I aced it. After that, the word spread very quickly in my new school I was to be shunned. (No one ever copied off my papers again though.)

On team class projects, no one wanted to be a teammate with me.

I didn’t give a hoot about what they thought though. I wasn’t there for a popularity contest, I was there for an education.

Part of the reason for my serious unpopularity - besides being a nerd - was that I moved into the area during 3rd/4th grade. (I skipped 3rd grade, but that was where I would have been placed at the time I moved.) Obviously, most people were already friends with each other by then, and I was the new kid. I never really got accepted.
