I wandered over the FR to see how the Freepers were taking the election. Of course, they’re mostly in denial. But there are a few (very, very few) sane voices pointing out that last night was a debacle.

One user posted this:

It is true that they were Hillary states but we lost conservative seats that have been held for decades. We were slaughtered last night. This was an off-off election. We should have won everything. In 2005, I remember a similar result and then bam, we were crucified in 2006. We have little time to change course. We may be in for heavy seas.

followed up with a reply that said:

You are correct. If the Dems are motivated and angry, they can wipe us out in the US Congress like they did in 1974 and 2006.

and the original poster responded:

I honestly didn’t think the democrats were motivated but they are big time. Making excuses like I am hearing across this board from poster to poster is not showing this reality.

So there’s a few posters there that get it. The rest of them are drinking the MAGA Flavor-Aid as fast as it can be made.
