Oh, sorry to hear about your doggie, hope he hangs in there and gives you much more time.

I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that Daisy and I are going through the long goodbye. Something happened last week late Thursday afternoon where she suddenly started panting and shaking heavily.
We had a winter storm just started to move in and folks were told to stay off the roads.
Daisy’s panting and shaking lasted until 4 am Friday then stopped as suddenly as it started.

Then, later on Friday, the vomiting began.

And it never stopped. Until now that she’s at the animal hospital so they can see first hand what we’ve been dealing with.

If this doesn’t work then I’m sadly ready to let her go. Other options are exploratory surgery or sending her to a vet specialist in Lexington for an endoscopy and other invasive tests.

She is ~17 years old. I got her 15-16 years ago as a rescue when the local humane society called one day asking if I could take in a beagle mix to foster and prep for adoption. They showed up 30 minutes later and I said “that is NOT a beagle”. Good grief, the wee dog had springs for legs!

She has lived here with us in TheBackwoods ever since.
