During an interview on Fox, Ted Cruz said this about Trump including him on his list of SC justices.

“I don’t,” Cruz responded. “It is deeply honoring, it’s humbling to be included in the list … but it’s not the desire of my heart. I want to be in the political fight.”

Note, he did not say he wanted to serve the public or represent the great state of Texas in the Senate. No, he wants to be in the FIGHT. This is the Republican view of governing, and it’s been a problem long before Trump rode down that escalator.*

*I’ve always thought that escalator image was terrible and silly staging, but since I’ve seen how many problems Trump has with stairs and ramps, he probably thought that escalator ride was a daring and manly feat.
