Really? They use aluminum bats in High School? Man, I’d want to play center field or left field - deep center and deep left for that matter if I was back in HS again.
Geebus, some HS hitters in my day, using wooden bats, could crush the ball - shudder to think of playing second base when those dudes used metal bats!

When I played in Little League, wood bats were not banned but no one would use them because when you got a hit with one it hurt your hands almost as bad as getting hit by a pitch. Perhaps this is only a problem when you are a 4th grader though.
