re: #218 ambi

Alas, I don’t know Geller’s religious views a bit. Am familiar that she is a Zionist, so I assume she’s at least (marginally) Jewish in a religious sense. I could be wrong though. Knowing how anti-faith Rand is certainly makes for an odd pairing if that is the case. There is a certain kind of logic, I suppose, that allows for religions to be expressed short of a theocracy, and perhaps Pam sees the theocratic version as less desirable, but that puts herself in a logical bind wrt her homeland’s m.o. for better or worse. Perhaps she sees Judaism as a gentler, kinder version of religion as compared to Islam?

We are an odd lot when it comes to religious observance so it’s hard to comment about that. Zionism to me is a natural. Most Jews are Zionists because we acknowledge that Israel is our homeland and we have a right to be there. For all the lies being spread about Zionism these days, that’s what it is in a nutshell.

Ayn Rand was also born Jewish but completely rejected religion and that part of her culture and background. Geller doesn’t reject it, but to me, she “uses” it as a badge as if to say “I’m Jewish so I know what I’m talking about” in regard to Muslims.

She’s a bigot and like I say, an embarrassment to Judaism.
