Well, if Mr. Trump’s polling continues to decline, and it is tied to the House, Senate, and state GOP, they may jump before the election to try to save their prospects.

I don’t expect the GOP to do anything unless they feel their own reëlection chances are threatened. They don’t need Trump, they have Pence. If for some reason Pence were to go down, they have Ryan. If Ryan went down, they have Orrin Hatch.

And then there is the shitshow of a Cabinet.
