I suspect the parents talked a lot about the sacrifices President Trump was making in order to take office, like giving up all of his businesses and his TV show. The kid, being nine, interpreted this has Trump becoming poor, and the parents encouraged it.

As I said, coerced. The kid is not going to have sufficient knowledge of economics to understand how completely he’s being lied to by his parents and mass media and, probably being in Tennessee, his school.
