My issue is with NATO in general, not with Georgia in particular. I can understand that they might feel “safer” as part of a larger alliance, but NATO was created to counter the Warsaw Pact, which has been defunct since the start of the 90’s.

I know I’m being pedantic, but the Warsaw Pact was created to counter NATO.

NATO founded: 1949
Warsaw Pact founded: 1955
