Then i start to think. Unless you try for a sort of bizarre interpretation, that was anything but a ‘perfect’ answer. Certainly not what she was looking for.

I suspect it was (from her perspective) a ‘perfect’ answer to her question. It was clear, concise, and provide exactly the information she needed to proceed. I would interpret it as a ‘Thank You’.
