Process process process. No defense of Trump’s actions.

The GOP is basically down to two arguments - actually excuses.
- The actions don’t rise to the level of removing a sitting president (but cf the blue dress)
- the election is too close and democratic norms should be respected.

neither is a ringing endorsement or says that he didn’t do it

the game is sort of over. we all know what happened. they know what happened.

either defend it or cut and run
