I recall being in an airport in 2016, and all the TVs were tuned into CNN, which was showing an empty podium waiting for Trump to come out and give some explanation of where his (now defunct) charitable foundation had “spent” its funding.

At the same time, Hillary was giving a speech on improving job opportunities for the handicapped. That really told me a lot about what the networks considered “newsworthy”.
