Oddly enough I’ve heard people say things like that before. Fortunately I never heard it said in real time.

It’s the same kind of logic for condoms and sex education. In a perfect world kids would wait until they are adults and in a permanent relationship. It does not follow that denying both will make that perfect world more likely to happen. Just my liberal slant.
