Speaking of Obama’s running (as all Presidents do) for re-election, what about making the presidency term six years without chance for re-election? I often think that would be better. Presidents could then focus on the country instead of themselves. What a concept!

Instant lame duck, you mean? One of the reasons why people often fear giving a President a second term is precisely because he can’t run for re-election again and has absolutely nothing to lose.
