I think we really need to simply the tax code, removing a buttload of the exemptions and the deferred this and the penalty that so that people stop being left with the uneasy feeling that everyone else is gaming the system better than they are.

Also, it’s totally biased towards those with large amount of capital assets who can structure their ‘income’ however they want.
