Check last year’s Dem platform and the stated goals of various progressive groups like MoveOn or OFA. See the priority placed on real labor issues like union breaking, minimum wage, and workplace safety & health. Organized workers like SEIU are still the heavy lifters in the large states, and they’re looking second-class. And they’re not lilly-white.

I keep coming back to the same answer - stupidity. So many in the WWC are anti-Union, oppose raising the minimum wage, oppose any form of ‘socialized medicine’. I mean, we joke about the Teabagger, the Union guy, and the CEO (“That union guy wants your cookie!”), but being objectively pro-worker has not helped us with a lot of the WWC, and being objectively anti-worker has not hurt the GOP.

What other explanation is there than that they’re stupid?
