It’s a remake of the king of comedy crossed with taxi driver. “Joker” is barely there from everything I’ve seen. I’ll be passing.

Oh, it definitely borrows from The King of Comedy and Taxi Driver. Martin Scorsese is a producer on Joker - according to one joke, it was so he wouldn’t sue for plagiarism.

Nonetheless, Joaquin Phoenix is a solid actor, so I’m interested to see his interpretation of the role. Can’t be any worse than the Joker we saw in Suicide Squad (though in some fairness to Jared Leto, the idea of a hedonistic/rock star/gangsta Joker is genuinely original, but it needs the right story and the right director).
