I think everybody should pay something. Certainly the first $40K or so should be at 10%. And I’m all for getting rid of ALL deductions.

But this “deduction cap” is a trap! It will mainly get the “limousine liberals”, which are a group particularly despised by Republicans. Obama should not fall for it.

Sales taxes are regressive. I don’t like them. But income taxes aren’t.
