I will agree with you, greed does have a lot to do with the current cost of higher ed. It costs a lot of money for the professor’s upkeep on their summer cottage on the ocean!

Yeah, pay for college professors sucks. And a lot of colleges are using adjunct faculty more and more, and they only get paid a flat fee for each class they teach.

I think there needs to be some serious analysis of where college tuition is going. Virginia’s Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC) linked massive tuition increases at several universities to spending on college athletics and found that 12% of total tuition and fees went to athletic programs.
