I’m really finding it instructive that General Kelly was given such a benefit of the doubt regarding his character and intentions within this regime.

The deep military service is definitely a dynamic that many of us at least initially defer to, but after that you get to the core of where he derives his auto-respect and lack of unbiased scrutiny from. This is something I see everywhere. Put on a suit, be the right demo and run with the open lanes and power handouts provided to you. It informs so much.

We have to remember while there have been generals like General Marshall, there have even those like MacArthur and who were power hungry.
