I was “pretty good” at math, It’s the letters and symbols in math I never liked. I took the differential equations course twice.
On the other hand, it took me three days to figure out how to put to perfectly perpendicular lines on the floor of my basement. Grid patterns for tile. I knew the math part, it was poor measuring that did me on.

My wife can sit around and read calculus books like they’re beach novels. I’ve tried, but none of it even begins to register in my brain.

She always says she can’t understand why I can remember 500 songs off the top of my head but can’t balance a checkbook. I don’t really understand it, either.
