I see little guarantee that an actual democracy would survive the breakaway. The less wealthy whites might get to “vote”, but I think it’d be better to keep the two groups (non-wealthy whites and non-wealthy non-whites) squabbling on an ostensibly even footing, so that they don’t particularly notice their actual enemy.
