No, it doesn’t make any sense. I’ve always wondered if that wasn’t added later after John declared the Jews were the killers of Jesus, not the Romans as in the earlier Gospels.

And WTH did Judas do wrong? Wasn’t it always the plan that Jesus had to die to erase original sin? He was part of the plan, just like Jesus was.

If not for Judas, the Falwells, Osteens, Robertsons, and Grahams would all be selling used cars for a living.

You know, I always wondered about that Re: Judas. The whole story is that Christ was meant to be crucified. So why would Judas be one of the most loathesome people if he was doing something that simply was meant to be. I’ve never gotten that.
